Nelson International Comprehension

Nelson International Comprehension offers a progressive approach for successful reading comprehension for students at primary school. The series is split into six year groups. The 22 units for Year 1 include:

• A range of illustrated fiction, poetry and non-fiction extracts and short texts
• Questions about the texts to test the students' literal, deductive and inferential skills
• Further questions to check the students' knowledge of vocabulary and spelling patterns
• Longer written extension exercises to build on the children's understanding of the texts.
