Disability, Education and Employment in Developing Countries: From Charity to Investment by Kamal Lamichhane was launched at the UN in New York on 3rd December, 2014, on the occasion of International Day of Persons with Disabilities.

United Nations Department of Economic and Social Affairs (UNDESA),UNDP,United Nations University (UNU) and Japan international Cooperation Agency (JICA) jointly organized this book launch and interactive program focusing on disability-inclusive post-2015 development goals.

The book is written by Dr. Kamal Lamichhane, Research Fellow, JICA Research Institute. The author has for the first time brought empirical works from different low and middle income countries, providing new insights into the importance of investment in disability issues.
